Chloe & Katia

Chloe Padmore

Chloe is a genderqueer artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). They are a published writer, writing for various Blak organisations. Once a month, Chloe also collaborates with Merri-bek City Council to run ‘Busy Bees’ as part of Lee’s Café, a social event for LGBTQIA+ people. They are also an award-winning photographer, with both their painting and photography showcased in multiple art exhibitions. Chloe has a passion for performing, having some experience with stage shows as well.

Katia Bacon

Katia Bacon is an emerging Aboriginal writer from the Innu community of Pessamit in the Côte-Nord region. She remains deeply attached to her roots. Her language, Innu-aimun, taught to her by her kukum, is one of her greatest treasures. Her Kukum is the memory of her community. Many stories, tales and legends have disappeared in certain communities. Thanks to literature, she can share this memory with as many people as possible.
