Beau & Waiariki

Beau Windon

Beau Windon is a neurodivergent writer of Wiradjuri heritage based in Naarm. He writes quirky stories about
quirky people (including his quirky self) and poetry about all of the sludge slathered over his mind.

His creative non-fiction work saw him shortlisted in three categories for the 2022 Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards: winning the Self-Told Stories by Writers Living with Disability category and coming runner-up
for the Indigenous Life Stories category. In 2023, Beau was a winning writer for Griffith Review’s “Emerging Voices” competition. In 2024 he was a Finalist for the Writers Prize with the Melbourne Prize for Literature.

Waiariki Parata-Taiapa

Waiariki Parata-Taiapa is pāpā to three adventurous young Māori tamariki. His passion lies in bringing pūrākau to life through creative writing, art and waiata, and he loves being able to shape and share mātauraka through the eyes of tamariki. Connecting tākata to whenua and being in our taiao brings our kōrero alive.
